E-TWINNING PROJECT - classe 3A






About the project

This is a short-term project dedicated to the similarities and differences of our cultures and languages  focusing on food. Students will brainstorm about international meals and traditional meals of their country. Food related vocabulary will be complied in English and in native languages. Students will contrast and compare the vocabulary items. They will get a taste of each partner’s language as well as their food.

Work process

Teachers will create a time schedule and agree on the ways of communication during the project. They will introduce the project to the children, inform parents and colleagues as well.
Partners will introduce themselves (place their town and their school on Google Map).
September/mid-October: making foodie flags ( each partner makes a sandwich representing their own country’s flag - two slices of bread, on one slice they put the ingredients so as to create the flag - they take a picture of it and it will be the logo of each country - vocabulary of the ingredients of the sandwich native language/English so as to get a taste of each partner’s language.

October: creating a food related vocabulary in the form of a dialogue “How do you say “Enjoy your meal” etc” we will choose the phrases

November: creating an interactive international menu (starters /main dishes / desserts) that is an e-cookbook at the same time.

December: Foodie Greetings Cards with pictures of traditional Christmas food (Native language/English) they prepare cards for each country of the project and exchange them.
